Information Systems Liaision I
Pay Grade 68        $17.26 per hour
Part Time Postion: 20 hours per week-hours to be determined as needed

Primary purpose of organizational unit: This position is assigned to the Fiscal/Administrative/Information Technology Division within the Agency.  This unit provides the technical and hardware/support that is imperative to the department.  The Department has numerous programmatic units which operate specifically under Federal and State legal authority.

 

Primpary purpose of the position: The primary purpose of this position is the Imaging Project Coordinator and Systems Administrtor that develops, designs, plans, recommends, troubleshoots and maintains the hardware and software, and the application of efficient and economical electronic records processing, management, methods, practices and laws or regulations that govern the records of all DSS programs.  This employee is responsible for the coordination of the accurate conversion of paper documents to electronic images.  This position helps to insure that all client information that falls under HIPAA guidelines is handled in a correct, safe and secure manner.  The employee is expected to review the existing records systems and become knowledgeable of the processes currently in place in all areas of the agency.  Tasks and decisions are linked specifically to a unit's work flow and purpose not just the general administrative functions. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Considerable knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computers and peripheral equipment.  Knowledge of the steps and procedures required to process data through a computer system.  Knowledge of the nature of procedures and problems in a user department.  Ability to coordinate with information systems professionals, computer operations staff, and users to solve technical problems which impede or delay the processing of data.  Ability to read and interpret computer messages and instructions.  Ability to train, direct and coordinate the work of others.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

 

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in business administration, information systems management, or a closely related field and one year of experience in the mangement of a data system; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Training/Experience: Experience with Windows and Excel preferred.
Additional requirements: Must submit official college transcripts.  Must have NC Driver's license and access to a vehicle.  Applicant must have no more than three points showing on current DMV record.
