Allens Creek Park
1725 Allens Creek Road, Waynesville

Allens Creek Park is the County’s first developed facility and was built with a grant from the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund on land leased from APAC/Harrison Construction Division of Tennessee. Phase I was completed August 2003 which included four multipurpose fields and a paved .4 mile walking path. Phase II was completed July 2004 and included a concession stand, restroom facility, paved parking, and playground.

Community partnerships provided resources to further enhance the park. During 2006, the Waynesville Rotary Club built a pavilion with assistance from AYSO Region 572 and NEO Corporation. AYSO also provided funding for playground equipment, park benches, wood fencing and a storage building. A grilling pad was installed in front of the pavilion recently through an Eagle Scout project.

To reserve the pavilion, please call the HCRP office at 828-452-6789.
