U.S. Senate Primary on June 22

North Carolina will hold a Special Primary on June 22, 2010, due to a runoff between Democratic candidtes for the U.S. Senate seat. Following is information and a Sample Ballot. For questions, or more information, please contact the Board of Elections at 828-452-6633.

Sample Ballot

WHO MAY VOTE IN THE SECOND PRIMARY ELECTION?
  • Any person who voted a Democratic ballot in the first primary may cast their Democratic ballot in the second primary.
  • Any Unaffiliated voter who voted a Democratic ballot in the first primary may cast their ballot in the second primary.

  • Any Unaffiliated voter who did not vote in the first primary may cast their ballot in the second primary.

WHO MAY NOT VOTE IN THE SECOND PRIMARY ELECTION?

  • Any Republican who did or did not vote in the first primary may not vote in the second primary.
  • Any Unaffiliated voter who voted an Unaffiliated ballot in the first primary may not vote in the second primary.

There will be NO IN PERSON REGISTRATION ALLOWED AT ONE- STOP LOCATION for any second primary election

 

Due to budget concerns we have been approved by NC state board of elections to operate only 1 One-Stop Early Voting location that will be at the (MARC) there will be NO One-Stop at Canton Public Library for the 2nd. Primary but will be operational for the November 2, 2010 General Election.
