Midwest Soccer Academy will return this summer for its “Dutch Touch” soccer camp.  After putting on a very successful camp in 2009 with lots of individual coaching, MSA is ready to offer their same commitment to coaching area youth in Haywood County.  From individualized technical and tactical lessons, to coached games, MSA’s development camp is full of fun and excitement.  MSA’s coaches work with children from 4-18 years old and are hired from all over Europe because of their coaching expertise, personality and the energy they bring to camp.

This year’s camp will be from June 21-25 at Allens Creek Park.  Half day sessions are available with U5-U9 (9am-12noon) for $129 and U10-U14 (1pm-4pm) for $129.  Full day sessions are available for U8-U14 (9am-3pm) for $159.  All players receive high level coaching, water bottle, T-shirt, full player evaluation and end of camp awards ceremony.  As always, MSA offers parents a chance to make this camp even more affordable.  MSA coaches are in need of area housing for the duration of the camp week.  In return for housing the coach for the week, MSA will provide that family with a FREE SCHOLARSHIP TO THE DAY CAMP.

Also, this year MSA will be offering an ADULT CLINIC.  This clinic will focus on adults and improving their own skills or give them the opportunity to improve their coaching skills.  By improving their coaching skills, they will have the chance to learn new, innovative drills and how they can relay these to their players.  The ADULT CLINIC is $25 and will be on Monday & Tuesday, June 21 & 22 from 6pm-8pm at Allens Creek Park.  The $25 fee covers both days.  This clinic also comes at the perfect time for adults to brush up on their skills as our Adult Summer Soccer League begins play on Wednesday, June 23.

To register for any of these camps/clinics, please stop by the Haywood County Recreation & Parks office at 81 Elmwood Way.  This is a new office location in the former MARC building, where Early Voting takes place beside the old Bargains building.  Or, you can register online at  Just select ***Register for 2010 Summer Camp*** along the left hand side and following the links to the 2010 Summer Day Camps.
