                                        The Board will meet in the HAYWOOD COUNTY COURTROOM

                                     of the HISTORIC COURTHOUSE at 215 N. Main Street, Waynesville

                                                                                beginning at 5:30 p.m.

                               Citizens must sign up for public comment prior to 5:20 p.m. and are limited

                            to three (3) minutes. Audience members may not address the Board at any time

                                              during deliberations unless recognized by the Chairman.

                     a. General Fund – Facilities & Maintenance $10,211- proceeds from sales of vehicles to be

                         used to cover a refurbished ambulance chassis for use in the Facilities & Maintenance

                     b. General Fund – Governing Body - $26,986 – property & liability insurance for flood

                         property owned by the County and flood insurance purchased for the Law Enforcement

                         Center due to new flood map information to be paid from contingency – ATTACHMENT 4


                     c. General Fund – HHSA – Public Health - $4,350 – a reallocation of funds between Public

                         Health and Environmental Health for the purchase of Environmental Health

                   2. Request approval of Resolution Giving Preliminary Approval To Issuance Of Revenue Bonds

                       To Finance The Acquisition, Rehabilitation, Construction and Equipping Of Affordable

                       Housing Developments in Waynesville including the Historic Haywood County Hospital,

                       subject to public hearing and further Board approval before the issuance of bonds –

                       David Francis, Tax/Solid Waste Administrator – ATTACHMENT 7


                   3. Request approval of resolution to declare surplus and trade in one Polaris Ranger 800 XP

                       4 x 4 vehicle for credit toward the purchase of two 2016 Sportsman 570 EFI 4 x 4 vehicles

                       from Polaris of Waynesville being the informal low bid – balance of $8,907.86 to be paid

                       from Sheriff’s Office budgeted funds - Captain Jason Smiley, Sheriff’s Office –

                   4. Request approval of reclassification of ¾ position of a recently vacated Administrative

                       Assistant II positon in Tax Collections to a full time Tax Collections Clerk I position for an

                       entry level salary of $24,409.43 – Kathi McClure, Human Resources Director –

                   5. Request approval of updated Haywood County Fairgrounds bylaws – Commissioner

                  7. Request approval of budget amendment - $19,500 – from project contingency – to cover change

                  8. Request approval of Temporary Construction Easement & Permanent Stormwater Easement

                      for Ingles Market Store #58 located adjacent to the Haywood County Law Enforcement Center

                  9. Request approval for funding to furnish and install a new covered aluminum awning by

                      Simpson Aluminum on the existing metal storage facility at the Haywood County Agriculture

                      Facility in the amount of $6,000 to by paid for from General Fund contingency – Dale Burris,

                      Facilities & Maintenance Director – ATTACHMENT 14


                10. Request approval of budget amendment - $6,000 – from General Fund contingency - to cover

                      the cost of the new aluminum awning, including installation – Julie Davis, Finance Director –

                11. Request approval of Resolution designating the County Manager pursuant to NCGS Section

                      18B-904(f) to make recommendations or register objections to the ABC Commission

                      concerning suitability of a person or location for an ABC permit, pursuant to the guidelines

                      of the ABC Commission and the provisions set forth in the resolution – Ira Dove,

                      County Manager – ATTACHMENT 16
