                                        The Board will meet in the HAYWOOD COUNTY COURTROOM

                                      of the HISTORIC COURTHOUSE at 215 N. Main Street, Waynesville

                                                                               beginning at 5:30 p.m.

                          Citizens must sign up for public comment prior to 5:20 p.m. and are limited

                      to three (3) minutes. Audience members may not address the Board at any time

                   1. Request approval of an Ordinance imposing a moratorium on the permitting and approval

                       ranges in unincorporated areas outside any municipal planning jurisdiction in Haywood County, 

                           North Carolina – Ira Dove, County Manager – ATTACHMENT 4                                                     

 

                  2. Request approval of the resolution in support of North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory’s

                   1. Request approval of project change order due to unsuitable soils on Haywood Community 

                       College Public Training Facility property in the amount not to exceed $94,000. –

                  2. Request approval of budget amendment – Capital Project Fund – HCC - $94,000 from project

                  3. Request approval of supplemental agreement for Blue Ridge Heritage Trail signage program 

                      for work from Brain Hooks, LLC in the amount of $32,111.23 funded through Federal Highway 

                      Administration Enhancement Grant and Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, Inc. (BRNHA) –

                  4.  Request approval of contract between Haywood County and John Burgin Construction for the 

                       Construction of the new Haywood County Emergency Services/Emergency Management 

                       Facility in the amount of $1,990,000 – Dale Burris, Facilities & Maintenance Director - 

                            ATTACHMENT 9 

 

                  5.  Request approval of Capital Project Ordinance for the EMS/Emergency Management Base - 

                       $2.1 million installment financing and $150,000 transfer from currently budgeted funds 

                       in the General Fund to cover the $1.99 million construction, as well as architect and engineering 

                       fees, contingency, equipment and financing costs per attached project ordinance – Julie Davis,

                  6.  Request approval of appointment of two (2) members, Jan Grossman and Martha Bradley

                       and Linda Webb to the Adult Care Homes Community Advisory Committee for Long Term

                  8.  Request approval of re-appointments of two (2) members, Betty Jo Coleman and Jean Willis 

                       to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for Long Term Care – Ira Dove,
