One-stop voting ends Saturday

One-stop early voting will for the Nov. 6, 2012 General Election will continue each weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at two locations in Haywood County - the Senior Resource Center, located at 81 Elmwood Way in Waynesville; and the Canton branch of the Haywood County Public Library, located at 11 Pennsylvania Avenue in Canton. The last day of early voting will be Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For questions about one-stop early voting, please contact the Haywood County Board of Elections at 828.452.6633. If you plan to vote on General Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 6, Haywood County polling places will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. To check your voter registration status, or if you're not sure where your polling place is located, you can find polling place pictures and other information by clicking on My Election Information on the N.C. Board of Elections website and entering the information requested.

Key Dates for Nov. 6 General Election:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2012 - One-Stop Early Voting Begins
  • Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 (5 p.m.) - Deadline to request an Absentee Ballot
  • Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 (1 p.m.) - One-Stop Early Voting Ends
  • Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 (5 p.m.) - Absentee Ballots due back to Haywood County Board of Elections
  • Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 - General Election Day. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
