Haywood Veterans Services Officer addresses U.S. Senate committee

On June 16th, Haywood County Veterans Services Officer Ronald Putnam addressed a U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs on the subject of VA health care in rural areas. Putnam, who was invited to address the Senate committee by Sen. Richard Burr, spoke about the challenges of linking qualified veterans to health care services in rural areas, as compared to urban areas with higher populations.
