Applicants sought for 4 community boards Print

The Haywood County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for the following community boards:

  • Haywood Community College Board of Trustees, one vacancy;
  • Agriculture and Activities Board, six vacancies
  • Board of Health, one vacancy, member at large
  • Waynesville Board of Zoning and Adjustment, one vacancy for an alternate member

The deadline for applications is Monday, June 21st. A description of each board is available in the Boards and Committees section of the County Commissioners website, with the exception of the Agriculture and Activities Board, which is a new board forming to provide oversight for the county-owned property known as the Haywood County Fairgrounds.

 

Applications are available online or from the County Manager's Office, 828-452-6625, 215 N. Main Street, Waynesville, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
