Description of Duties: Provides continuous clinic flow for Adult Wellness, Child Health, Family Planning, Prenatal, Women’s Health and STD clinics, in and out processing of patients, collecting payments from clients, issuing receipts, scheduling appointments, receiving/directing and assisting with outside phone calls, and compiling reports.

 

Examples of Duties:

§          Accepts phone calls regarding appointments for clinical services.  Schedules appointments for clinical services provided.  Monitors clinic flow and determines if changes need to be made in scheduling.  Responsible for personal demographics of clients, including financial.

§          Determines income eligibility for various services.

§          Assembles medical records.

§          Retrieves records from central filing system prior to appointments for Family Planning, Adult Wellness and STD.

§          Typing forms and correspondence, data entry.

§          Use of various office equipment; personal computer, PC printer, calculator, copiers, fax machine and others as needed.

§          Relief for receptionist and switchboard operator.

§          Other duties as may be required.

 

Minimum Education and Experience: High School graduate and demonstrated possession of knowledge skills, and abilities gained through at least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience.
