General Description of PositionThe purpose of the class is to dispatch emergency services in response to calls for assistance.  The class is responsible for answering emergency services phones, dispatching appropriate emergency services, maintaining emergency reference materials, maintaining logs and tapes, and servicing/maintaining equipment.  The class works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.

 Minimum Training and Experience: Requires high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training.  Requires over one month and up to and including three months of experience in telecommunications.  

Work Hours/Benefits:This is a permanent full time position Monday through Sunday (Hours varies). All county benefits such as health, dental, drug, life, retirement, 401 (k), vacation and sick leave.


Salary: The pay grade assigned to this position is 60 with a salary range of $25996 - $37,512.
