Slope Ordinance workshop planned Print

Contractors, developers, realtors and land owners are invited to attend a workshop on the Haywood County Slope Ordinance from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., March 28 in the conference room of Haywood County Annex II, located at 1233 N. Main St. in Waynesville.

The workshop is designed to explain the procedure of applying for a Slope Construction Permit; explain the roles of the County Engineer and the Engineering Review Board in the administration and enforcement of the ordinance; and describe the role of the ordinance in obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy and subdivision plat approval. In addition, participants will be able to ask questions and discuss the past, present and future of the one-year old ordinance. Attendees will also receive a brief presentation on important land development issues from the Haywood County Erosion Control Dept.
