Location: Solid Waste Management-Part Time Position

General Description of Position:

This is a part time position working a maximum of 19 hours per week.  This position will monitor and weigh vehicles entering and leaving the MRF.  The position will have responsibility for opening/closing the MRF, operating scales, answering questions, collecting money, monitoring operation of MRF and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Department Head.

This position works within a general outline of work to be performed, develops work methods and work sequences under general supervision.

 

Minimum Training and Experience:

Requires High School diploma, GED or specialized vocational training.  Requires over one month and up to and including three months of general office and customer service experience.  Computer knowledge/typing skills are essential for this position.

 

Special Certifications and Licenses:

Weigh master license required with six (6) months of employment.

Rate of Pay:

This position is assigned to County Pay Grade 54 and the hourly rate of pay is $9.23 per hour.  This is a part-time position and county benefits are not available to this position.  The length of this appointment is dependent on the continuance of available funding.

Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
