Applicants sought for 3 seats on Health Board Print

The Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants for three open positions on the Haywood County Board of Health. Two of the positions are for members at large, and the third is for a professional engineer.

The Board of Health is a policy-making, rule-making and adjudicatory body for the Haywood County Health Department. The Board adopts rules necessary for the purpose of protecting and promoting public health. The regular meeting for the Board of Health is held at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month.

Board terms are for three years beginning in January 2012. All applicants must reside in Haywood County.

Application forms may be downloaded from the Online Services section of the county website, www.haywoodnc.net; or picked up from the County Manager’s Office, Haywood County Courthouse, Third Floor, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
