HAYWOOD COUNTY  EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

 

 

 

General Description of Position

 

The purpose of the position is to provide office support for Haywood County Emergency Medical Services. 

 

Essential Tasks:

  • Develops and maintains forms and documents associated with Emergency Medical Services.
  • Maintains sensitive files and documents.
  • Attends Committee and Department meetings; prepares minutes as needed.
  • Oversees and or assists with office functions such as payroll, personnel records, training records, budgets, contracts and others as required.
  • Answers phones and routes calls, answers questions and takes messages.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Performs research and conducts special projects as directed.
  • Prepares purchase orders and pays invoices.
  • Coordinates with all divisions of Emergency Services; including Emergency Management, Fire Marshal, and 911 Dispatch.

 

 

Minimum Training and Experience

 

Requires Associate’s degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education. Requires prior experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and general working knowledge of Windows based programs.

 

 

Work Hours/Benefits

 

This is a regular full time position Monday through Friday – 8:00 – 5:00. County benefits such as health, dental, drug, life, retirement, 401(k), vacation and sick leave are included in compensation.

 

 

Salary

 

The pay grade assigned to this position is 63 with a salary range of $28,538.50 - $42,808.33.
